Shiloh Pepin, who was born with a rare condition often called "mermaid syndrome," was featured in the TLC documentary Mermaid Girl, told her story on Oprah and gained a wide following on the Internet. Doctors didn't expect her to live long after she was born. She died Friday afternoon.
