University opts for Cryptocard solution to improve remote access security

The University of Oxford has implemented two-factor authentication to protect
its servers and networks.

The university said it needs remote access to IT resources to ensure greater
business continuity during times of major disruption, such as bad weather
conditions or health pandemics.

It is using Cryptocard?s Crypto-Mas solution as it decided that traditional
passwords were not secure enough and that two-factor authentication should be
implemented as standard.

?Remote working is now regarded as a core element of the IT architecture and
so Cryptocard?s high level of security and reliability as well as its ease of
use have been vital for our users and our IT support team,? said Ben Heath, head
of financial reporting at the University of Oxford.
